An antique globe might not be of any use for further education but it can still be a classy addition to an office or study, especially as a light! Picked this up at my local sustainable home improvement store; Community Forlklift.
Holes were cut at the top and bottom of the globe and small light holes around the exterior.
Passage for the wiring was drilled through the pole and wooden base.
Lighting kits can be pretty easy to get a hold of.
Who wants one if these?
